Happy New Year!

As you read this, I am not actually here. Yep, auto-post to the rescue!  This means, of course, that I am on vacation and won’t be back until next week. So, no Monday Healthy Eating, but I will be back with some other fun stuff next week.

In the meantime, I’d love to hear your New Year’s plans for eating healthy this year. Share how you’re going more local, greener, healthier…whatever your food plans is for 2011, we want to know. And, if you haven’t thought about it yet, now is the perfect time to take a few minutes and turn it over to see what you can come up with.

For us, we’re trying to go to a 100% no food waste house. This means all leftovers being used, all edible parts of meats and veggies being used, and appropriately compostable things being composted.  I’ll be posting about how we’re trying to achieve that goal and how close we’re getting throughout the year.  We’ve already put some things in place, and seeing some results, which is exciting!

Have a safe, happy New Year! Here’s a raw-milk, pastured-egg, freshly-ground cinnamon, and local bourbon eggnog toast to you and yours in the year to come!
